Hello. I live on Long Island and am interesting in getting out to Brothers Grimm in the near future as I've heard good things and am always interested in meeting fellow hobby enthusiasts. I am about an hour away and have limited weekend availability, but am free at least one or two weekdays a week normally.

I've been playing Fantasy for a few years, and have one completed Warhammer Fantasy army capable of fielding 2400+ Dwarfs, and am working on a 2nd army currently, Daemons, which I am putting much more care into because they are just awesome models.. I have a US paratrooper army as well for Flames of War which I haven't really gotten a chance to use yet, let alone learn the rules, and some Lord of the Rings stuff. Mordheim is always fun as well.

I'm also building an Early Imperial Roman army, so if anyone plays Warhammer Historical that would be quite a shock but also a very cool thing, as I have the WAB 2.0 book and it looks like a promisingly incredible game.

Well I just wanted to say "Hi" and I look forward to getting out to the store one day, and am considering joining one of the Fantasy Leagues coming up. I may also be looking for a pick up game in a couple weeks, so until then, happy gaming all!

The group of Fantasy players we have is a good solid group. It's a nice mix of armies so you won't feel like, "Aww, Dwarfs for dinner again..??". All of which are super helpful. Thursday nights around 4pm is usual the time most of us begin to head down to the shop. Come on down sometime and bust some 'eads!!

As for those FoW guys, I'm not sure. I hear most of them are arrogant sons of bitches (just playin, much love guys!!).

Does anyone play any Historical games, like Warhammer Ancients?

Not really, you may find a few people familiar with the systems but I've never seen it on the table at the store. Flames of War has a rather respectable following at the store. A few dedicated owners and plenty of people who know the game and borrow pieces if they can. I'm the latter. Just haven't had the cash to get the Irish guard rolling.

I know a few of us wanted to check out the historical games like Pike & Shot and such, but didn't have the pieces or anyone who really knew how to play. I've heard great things about Warhammer historical game, and I'd be keen to play thorough a game and I'm sure I'm not the only one. As for what we do play, FoW has a really nice following in the shop and folks are usually playing it on Mondays.
