Location: Huntington- if theres any one around the age of 15, I'd love to meat up with ya.
Now, I know I'm not an official and most have probably heard this already, however I thought it should be put up on the forums just in case.

Long Island has had a recent out brake of whooping cough, centered mainly around the center of the island (huntington, east northport), however it could spread.

Just something to look out for, and the more people who know, the better!

Good. Less people on this island the better. Too fucking crowded to begin with.

It's due mostly to the retarded parents who are ignorantly paranoid over autism and didn't get their kids vaccinated. Yes, I have my Ph.D. in Immunology, and Yes, you are a F**king Moron if you believe a vaccine causes autism. It's the same reason there's been Measles out breaks in southern California. . . /facepalm

easy fix. Next time you need a tetanus booster make sure it is with pertussis component as well known as a TDaP).

You can also bring up how many forms of Autism are being declassified in the new DSM-V because it's been over-diagnosed and misdiagnosed way too often in the last 10 years. What people call Autism these days, isn't really Autism.

The fact that Autism has been apparently "spreading" isn't because the number of cases actually increased, it's because they changed the definition to include so many different disorders, that it became a lot easier to get a diagnosis of Autism, when you probably had something else or nothing at all.

I feel odd saying this, but Jeremy is right. Autism percentages are going to go way down when DSM-V comes out, although obviously those kids may well have something else legitimately wrong with them that has to be addressed.
