Brothers Grim Games and Collectibles

After being bought out by Neca, Heroclix has been brought back to life and is in full swing. The new sculpts are great. For those of you who have played before, the mechanics are mostly the same with a few added elements, and for those of you who would just like to go to battle using your favorite super heroes, come on down this game is for you. I will be holding a demo at the shop on Thursday April 26th at 6:30. All are welcome to come. i have some limited edition maps and some figs from the new sets to give out to get everyone started. This is just the beginning. I will be holding monthly tournaments at the shop for the new Infinity gauntlet LE figs. First 10 people who enter will automatically get an infinity gauntlet and the first 3 gems to put on it. Prizes will be determined when I decide on a date to hold the first tournament which will be sometime in the near future. Hope to see a lot of you guys and gals there. It will be a lot of fun.

Pete I used to love Heroclix thanks for getting it going down at the Grim. I am planning on being down on May 6th for the event and I already installed the rules app on my phone!

Im glad youre planning on getting back into the game. I will be getting the info up on the boards through Dave by the end of today hopefully. The game is still mostly the same mechanics as it used to be with some changes and additional mechanics that make it a more fun and challenging. For the most part, feats and battle field conditions are a thing of the past, but the sculpts are much better, the dials turn better and there are some much more powerful characters that you can field. The tournament will be a blast and everyone will leave with some great prizes.

The app on the android market is called heroclix rules. It has all the rules of play including all of the rules for each superpower, and some of the new mechanics. Its a great app. I am not sure if it is available for the iphone or not.

For anyone who is looking to download and print the rules or any print and play items such as standard objects, just go to www.heroclix.com. They have a great site that spotlights many of the figures from the upcoming sets including the dials that the figs will have.

If you want to keep up with some heroclix forums, or look into picking up some of the figs from the older sets and you can check out ww.hcrealms.com. Here you can get plenty of info, including looking up any figure that exists. If you are looking for figures with special powers and not sure what is available....just use the filters to search for what youre looking for.

Dave will hopefully be sending out an announcement today. Just in case, here is the breakdown for the tournament this weekend.

Sunday May 6th at 3:00
Purchase 2 Hulk boosters and create a 400point team
Its gonna be that simple. I am trying to keep our first tournament as simple as possible for the new players that will be just learning (or re-learning) the game.
There will be 3 45 minute games. Your opponents will be determined randomly for game 1 and will be determined by standings for game 2 and 3.
We will be determining winners by points scored and NOT by games won.
There will be other points for the Infinity gauntlet tournament. These points will be accumulated over the course of the tournament (this is only the first of the series). I will go over this with everyone on Sunday. Bottom line is that if you score enough points in the events, which all of you hopefully will, you qualify to enter the final event which will probably be held in September for a chance to win the limited edition THANOS....and by the way....its an amazing piece.

If we have 10 players, the top three winners will choose from 3 LE figs, first place gets first pick, second the second and third gets the final piece. The figs are Adam Warlock, In-Betweener, and the Champion. If we get more than 10 players, I will add more LE's to the mix and expand to a 4th and possibly 5th place.

I am going to have some door prizes. Anyone who doesnt place in the tournament will gets to roll of with a 20 sided die. I will have some Le's from the galactic guardians and hulk sets, and a complete C/U/R #1-36 set from the new galactic guardians set.

The first 15 people (starting with the ones I know dont have it yet) will recieve an infinity gauntlet and the first 3 gems to fill it. Maps from the infinity gauntlet tournament will be given out after the event as well as some special objects from the galactic guardians set to those that dont have them yet.

All in all, this is going to be a fun event and everyone is going to go home with some great stuff. from what I have heard so far, there should be a pretty good turnout.

Well, our first tournament went well and we had a pretty good turnout. 10 People showed up to battle in the stars with a bunch of ground pounders from the Incredible Hulk set. Everyone opened their packs and did their best to create a winning team with what they pulled. Miguel pulled a cosmic hulk, and with the help of the Leader was able to win the tournament with 1078 points and took the Adam Warlock LE for his troubles. Gene took a seat in second place scoring 1021 points and chose the Champion as his prize. Chris followed not so close behind in third with 866 points and scored an In-Betweener. The overall standings were as follows.
