On Sunday, May 1st, there will be a Mega Battle for Flames of War! We'll be starting at Noon, and going until the game ends, hopefully no later than 8pm, if everything goes smoothly.
The details are as follows:
The theme is effectively the end of the German Reich. Late War, all books allowed. The players will be organized into three teams: the Axis, the Americans and British (and assorted allies that fought on the west front), and the Russians (and assorted allies that fought on the east front).
The Germans will be defending in this mission, and will take the center deployment zone, while the Americans and British will take the west deployment zone, the Russians take the east.
The German's goal is to hold out until the time limit runs out, or they manage to rout both the Russian and American/British forces.
The American/British and Russian goal is to capture the Reichstag, a centrally located building (will be placed on the center of the table) before the other side's forces do.
Total War rules will be in effect! (the actual mission, obviously, will be modified to compensate for the altered deployment zone)
Objectives:
1 Center objective (main goal) (5 points)
3 inner objectives on each front (3 on west, 3 on east) (2 pts each)
2 outer objectives on each front (2 on west, 2 on east) (1pt each)
All objectives will be within the German deployment zone, deployed using standard objective deployment rules (At least 8" within the box within their appropriate zones) except for the aforementioned Reichstag objective.
How many points each player will be allowed to bring will be dependent on how many show up. I'm thinking 1500 per player right now, however that is just as likely to increase or decrease. Also note that your Support Platoons WILL be placed into the side pool to be divided amongst the players as the army general dictates, as per Total War.
