Not really impressed, unfortunately. Considering this army has been in serious need of an update, rules and model wise, I expected a lot more in the visual. Rules are yet to be seen though.

You two would probably be all  on winning the lottery too

The big question is, "Where's the Pariahs models?"
The Immortals look even better than they did before

The Pariah story has been axed apparently. Lych Guard are the new pariah stand ins.

Yeah I was all cheers and excitement for Grey Knights. I was downright hyper about it. Then the reality of a lukewarm codex which is only competitive if you play it the same way every other marine list is played brought me down pretty low.

I still get hyper about new Infinity models if that helps :).

Yeah no it doesn't as people really don't care about that game in a 40K thread. The infinity thread? Eh who knows.

We have an Infinity Thread?

I just think they look wonky -shrugs-. Greg, give me the winning numbers and I'll gladly buy those models!

Just making a comparison between a company that does it right and one that seems to do it all wrong. I guess I'm still burned by my disappointment over the Grey Knight codex and while GW has had a decent record with WFB army books being balanced, the 40k ones have been wonky. So I'm thinking Necrons will be wonky too, one way or the other (the Tyranid road or the Space Wolf road).

I guess I'm also not a fan of these open vehicles where everyone is rowing. If I was a Necron player, I wouldn't want to have to glue 20 rowers into my model. Some of the infantry look cool, but the poses are very static and repetitive like on the Death Marks and Immortals. I think the Death Marks would be pretty cool minis if they had a wider variety of poses. Most of the character models also seem to be stuck in static poses with only one of the overlords doing something truly dramatic and interesting with his pose.

With all that said, I will probably buy a box of Death Marks and give them better poses assuming they don't end up being finecast. If I did Necrons, I'd want every infantry model in my army to look like that.

I don't think you know exactly what Necrons are....

Yeah I get the whole space skeleton thing. But if they're going to make a multi-part plastic kit, building in some dynamic poses wouldn't be so hard. The character models, which would be extremely easy to give dynamic poses, are the stiffest posed of all. When you look at how dynamic the Dark Eldar models look, they're really taking a step back with these.

Jeremy, their not supposed to be in a Dynamic pose, cause its not necrons. Their Robots, have you seen a Terminator do a funny pose? doesn't compute. Think their fine way their are, but hey everyone got the right for their opinion.

Kurgash, I am SO happy for you. I mean seriously, this has been hat you have been waiting for! Now, I might not play them, but I'm just really happy for you. Looks like your win/lose streak might boost up!

I don't hate them, in fact I was thinking about playing depending on the models, but now, definitely not. Still, like I said, this is what you've been waiting for, and I'm happy for you.

i personally love the new vehicles. why? because they are DIFFERENT!!! i love the whole galactica/federation droid carrier. where the models are dormant until deployed. and what looks like gause blasters on the sides.

i can't believe there is going to be multiple choices for me to have to actually choose from!!!!! the lords are in typical stagnant pose, but you can bet your
cock and balls that i will convert the shit out of all the new plastics to make me a mega lord with a pimp hat.

jeremy, your negativity only fuels my love of this game by proving you wrong on every aspect. the grey knights codex is absolutely amazing. subtract the
dread knights from your lists and you will be fine. concentrate on one aspect and go with it. there are too many options and if you try to fit them all in you will fail.
if you like terminators, then take at least 20 of them and go nuts. use the knights and purifiers as back up units. you want knights? use them, take as many as you can field. they are marines, so yes, they tend to play like marines. only better. dreadnoughts? well duh, psi ammo twin auto cannons are too good not to take 3 of.

and if infinity is such a perfect game, why are there only 3 or 4 people playing it? i'm not bashing your game, i'm just sayin.

dugan, if you play necrons i will five finger death punch you in the chest. and for the record, i'm running chaos undecided in the league. 600pts means EVERYONE has a chance to win. tau, tyranids, eldar, chaos. you can also come down and get in a pick up game on weds as well. so don't be scared.
