A few months back I staged a game of All Things Zombie at the shop, and to celebrate my finally landing a new job I'm looking to do it again. For those who have never heard of the game:

http://www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/atz.htm

It's a game designed to simluate a zombie outbreak, and unlike many minis games out there, it's meant to be played co-op with the players working together against the zombies, who are run automatically according to the rules (there is no 'zombie player'). It supports multiple players pretty well (we had 5 last time as I recall) so i'd be happy to have a nunch of people join up.

I'll be running the game on Friday the 28th around 7 PM, but I already know of a few people who will be playings so I don't know how many other players I can reasonably support... anyone else here interested? How big a game should I plan on putting together?

If there's a lot of interest, I could be convinved to run a game on Thursday night as well as long as it doesn't cause Dennis to get all pouty that I might be stealing some of his thunder  . But for that I really do want to gague interest before I haul everything down to the shop.

So I'm putting the word out - who would want to play? Would it be worth trying to run a game both days to accomodate more people? Did anyone want to see any kinds of scenarios play out, or would it be better to stick to a simple search and scavenege situation to learn the game? Get back to me with your opinions!

Is this a 'just for fun'-type game? Like beer & pretzels? Or can it be competitive like most of the games at the shop? How long is a normal game?

If it's just a fun one and I don't have to think much to play it I'd like to try it out - what's more fun than a zombie outbreak (besides Malifaux that is)? I'm just not sure how much time I would have, the Malifaux league (and the painting clinic) consume much of my time.

Definitely just for fun. As I stated earlier, it tends to play cooperative over competitive, although you could easily build a scenario with opposing forces having their own goals. It actually plays more like an RPG than any of the minis games we tend to see up at the shop, and it lends itself well to campaign play (which I'm also interested in starting up down the road).

As for length, the comnpany is called Two Hour Wargames, a lot of the standard games are designed to fit in that timeframe, but obviously that varies depending on the number of players and their experience (i'd expect a big game with a lot of new players to take a while by comparison), scenario, etc.

Game sounds pretty tight, wish I could be there for the shenanigans.

No sweat, some things are more important than the Zombiepocalypse. I'll be running it again after tonight.

I have mentioned my interest in the past. Unfortunately I'm unavailable both those days. Please keep me in mind for the next time, though.

I have no specific days to run the game, generally it's a day I don't mind staying late if need be (generally with no work the next day) and the mood strikes. Ran it a few times so far, and being inspired by some battle reports I'm seeing means I may be looking to do it again soon, but no days in mind yet. I'll make some noise here when the time rolls around again. I have some new foamcore to work with via Gil too, so it may involve some new buildings if I can get the time/motivation going. I'm thinking fire station...
