THE NEW PAINT SET JAY HAD MENTIONED LAST WEEK IS UP ON THE GAMES WORKSHOP SITE TODAY. ITS 145 PAINTS FOR THE LOW, LOW PRICE OF $536... THATS SARCASM....

SOME OF THE NEW COLORS ARE COOL BUT ITS THE SAME OLD POT DESIGN, FOR THE MOST PART AND THEIR IS REALLY NO SAVINGS TO BUYING THE WHOLE SET UNLESS YOU INCLUDE THE CARRYING CASE IT COMES IN..
MIGHT BUY A COUPLE HERE AND THERE BUT PROBABLY NOT THE WHOLE SET..

WOULD REALLY LIKE SOME OTHER OPINIONS ON THIS........

Spoke with Gil and Dave about it today...

Overall, I'm happy about the expansion. More paint options is never a bad thing. One thing worth mentioning is that the GW folks warn that colors may not be EXACT matches (I will test this thoroughly when the paints arrive).

Give GW credit, they kept the price per pot the same. Frankly, the Mega deal is almost ALWAYS a huge mistake for any buyer. Most of us get alot more use out of certain colors. How often will I use turquoise? Not much.

Overall, I'm excited.

Not really excited, but more from a painters stand point rather than price. As long as the pots click and stay open, it will be ok, just not looking forward to learning a new "paint language". Do they make a Roseta Stone for the new line?

They actually did. I have it printed out somewhere, but Jay posted the link somewhere.

Yeah my entire Yu Jing army is base coated in Asurmen Blue. If they changed the formulation for that color, I will basically have to redo the paint scheme for half of my Infinity models. I also think it sucks that they renamed everything. Ultramarine blue has been called that for 20+ years. Why change it now? I agree that re-learning the GW paint language will suck...

Thank goodness for my non-drying out Vallejo paints...
