Look forward to your updates, Rob. Good luck at the con and don't rely on your loaded deck to win you games there...I believe they will be checking decks =P!!

I'm sure that my luck will turn at some point hopefully it will be after sunday.
Really never even thought about someone cheating with their deck.
That would be the lowest of the low.

Game one of team tournament.
Played against zoriada & Ophelia
Shared claim jump
Tough matchup where we were out activated all game and the gremlin player wasn't aggressive
Did some tricky things zoriada moved in b2b wih peacekeeper and then Hoffman machine spirit and 2 open circuits.
If I remembered the toolkit she would have died but I didn't and she was left with 2 wounds.
5 wicked dolls then jumped on top of the peace keeper tearing him a new one.
Next turn killed all wicked dolls and z

Gremlins got 2 it's to claim jump we had 4. We could only kill 1 gremlin.
So the game ended 6-2 in our favor.
Paired really held against z

Game 2 - Shared turf war

We had the privledge of playing against team gamers lounge. They had lady j and sonnia (both avatars), 2 guardian, santiago, 2 desp mercs, watcher, exorcist.

Pictures of the table to follow. The table was a bunch of sewers with bridges and rooms with doors. meant that getting around is hard.

I went all "ROSCOE JENKINS" and threw the peacekeeper up at summoned witchling stalker in an atempt to kill him with a machine puppet and override edit him into sonnia.

It didn't work as lady j was in the corner of a doorway and could charge the peacekeeper.
Was able to withstand the lady j onslaught and used open circuits to do 9 wounds to lady j an bring her down to 1 stone.
santiago walked up and killed the peacekeeper.

In reality there wasn't a need to get in charge range of sonnia. I could have just done my override edit. Flurry'd into the stalker and discarded a card to walk in melee with sonnia.

Thankfully my watchers gave us a 5 or 4(Not sure) to 2 win.

Hopefully in the single player tournament I won't overextend myself.

The singles went ok.
Game 1 I played shared destroy the evidence against the dreamer and took hoffman.
Game only went to turn 4 and I won due to getting both my shemes.

Game 2 - I played escape and survive against mcmorning. I used sonnia as I figured he would be using night terrors.
He did but I made the mistake of placing sonnia off to one side. Due to the terrain he was able to place the night terrors ontop of a 9" buildling on my half of the board and I couldn't target them.

He got one scheme and it didn't matter what I could do.

If I had actually brought avatar sonnia, I would of had a chance as she can fly.

Game 3 - Shared Claim jump against, avatar pandora
I took hoffman and he actually had the hooded rider, this meant that I out activated him each turn. Turn 2 hoffman killed the dead rider & a sorrow (I took assasinate & exterminate as schemes).

Turn 3 he avatared pandora and moved onto the claimjump.
Next turn hoffman walked in and killed pandora with 3 open circuits at 5 dg each.

Next turn i did a few dmg to sorrows and in the final turn I sent the peacekeeper in one direction to kill another sorrow and used machine puppet on a watcher to kill the final sorrow.

I took 4th overall on the qualifier and as Matt Birdoff wasn't going to play in the sunday, I was able to get into the 8 man single elimination.

Sunday.
Game 1 was shared distract vs McMorning. I took breakthrough and bodyguard as I had 8 stones.
He took von schill who is really irritating but thanks to a few lures from his belles and the executioner being in cover. The executioner was able to get in melee with a dog and a wounded bell on turn 2. Which meant he had to move back to his deployment zone with mcmorning to kill the executioner.

He then couldn't get the strategy and I won the game 4-3. He had kill protege and didn't announce breakthrough (He had a flesh construct in my deployment zone).

Game 2 was shared deliver a message and he had Levi, collodi, 4 marionettes and 3 wicked dolls.
I knew it would be really tough for me to deliver the message turn 1 as the marionettes can do it in a single activation.

the board was a sewer board with several walls.
I played hoffman and moved the peacekeeper up in between 2 walls with a watcher infront. I planned on him not being able to deliver the message through the wall.
He was able to move collodi up close to hoffman by the 2nd marionette. We talked about it between ourselves and the judges and actually agreed that you can deliver the message through a wall (After further review, I'm not sure you can as it is a (2) interact).
Realizing that, I had 2 options.
1) attempt to machine puppet the collodi 3 times with the chain spear. 1st & 2nd will kill the marionettes. Assuming I do damage with the 3rd, collordi will be dragged 4" at peacekeeper and I would get paired 6cb departing strikes on collodi. (He would have needed to move around the wall to get within 2 of hoffman
2) Override edict on peacekeeper to shift back and to the right (Meant that collodi wouldn't be hurt but I'd get out of dodge)

The 2nd is the better choice but I didn't have a mask and didn't want to try and flip/soulstone to get it.

I chose the 1st option and he SS'd the hit on collodi to make me miss.

Over the course of the next turn I killed collodi and turn 3 I moved to deliver the message on turn 4.
I was able to deliver the message but thanks to a good hand on his part he was barely able to kill levi on turn 4 to make it a tie.
my highest card was a 10 and he had 2 twelves. He needed to cast 2 spells on my constructs to kill himself and He didn't flip the black joker.
If played again, I would have just marched straight at levi turn 1 and delivered the message. Turn2, would have killed both waifs and moved back to my DZ. Tried to kill collodi on turn 3/4.

He would definently delivered the message on turn 1 but would of had collodi and 3 marionettes on the peacekeeper. which I could have killed all 3 marionettes after they delivered the message. 3 from machine spirit.

Final was Andrew Weakland with Vikki's vs Guy I played last round with Hamelin. It was shared line in the sand.

I believe he lost Nix to a fast companion vikkis. and Lost hamelin a couple turns later.

Once he lost hamelin none of his crew could flip a dynamite marker.

Great write-ups. Bummer about the Collodi thing through the wall judgement. Bad call IMO. But you did really well aside from that.

Congrats to Andrew!! Nice job making into the single elimination round, Rob, too bad you couldn't take home the gold!! It's good to see no Neverborn in the finals.
