Keeping in the tradition of ringing in the new year with artillery bombardments and titans stomping through the fields, we're having a megabattle throughout the night of December 31st.

We're going to begin at 6pm and continue through the night.

There will be scenarios and guidelines posted soon.

Now lets go blow something up.

Alright boys, we're doing something different this time around.

There will be 6, yes, count them, 6 games going at once. The choice will be yours for what to play in, but variety is the spice of life. Here's what they're going to be.

Into the Breach! Tank Megabattle

Every player may bring a maximum of 10 Tanks.

Super Heavies, Flyers, Super heavy Flyers, Gargantuan Creatures, Formations of Tanks & Monstrous Creatures, and Tank Squadrons may be on the field. Absolutely no boots on the ground. Hooves, yes, boots, no.

Generic squadron rules will be in effect, the rules will be made public soon.

There is no points limit players have to adhere to. It would be recommended that tanks have loadouts appropriate for dealing with other armored targets.

Turns: 30mins Per Side. 10mins Movement, 15mins Shoothing, 5mins Assault

Special Rule: Redeployment! - At the beginning of your side's turn, you may redeploy one Tank Squadron/Formation that had been destroyed or heavily damaged. At beginning of your turn, after vehicles have been redeployed, you may remove heavily damaged vehicles and their squadrons if they are with one, to be put back in reserves and redeployed, giving the enemy the points for destroying the unit in the process.

T-Minus.... Gladiator Match

2 Hr Time Limit or 6 turns, 2000pts per player, 2 Players

Mission: Capture & Control the key points of the PDF missle silos.

Special Rules: Gladiator! - An army list may contain super heavy vehicles / gargantuan creatures through the use of 2 heavy support slots. It may contain a flyer through the use of 2 fast attack slots. It may contain a super heavy flyer at the cost of 2 fast attack and 2 heavy.

Launch! - The winner of this scenario may launch one of the PDF Missle silos at the tank battle in progress. It uses the rules for the orbital bombardment strategic asset from the apocolyapse rulebook.

Roll out! 2v2 Match

1.5 Hr Time Limit or 6 turns, 750pts per player, 2 Players per side

Mission: Capture the strategic points along the highway in an attempt to reinforce the front.

Special Rules: Reinforcements! - The winning side of this scenario allows their side to redeploy an additional D3 squadrons their next turn at the breach. The players that get to redeploy are chosen at random by the event organizer.

Fire for Effect! 1v1 Match

45min Time Limit or 6 turns, 500pts per player, No Vehicles/Monstrous Creatures

Mission: Capture the AA emplacement at the table's center.

Special Rules: Long Range Ack Ack! - The winning player may fire the emplacement at a squadron of flyers on the table, or coming in from reserves using the rules for Long Range Ack Ack! from the apocalypse rulebook. If no flyers are availble, they may fire it at a superheavy vehicle without the option to disengage.

One Stop Shopping... 1v1 Match

45min Time Limit or 6 turns, 500pts per player, No Vehicles/Monstrous Creatures

Mission: Capture the munitions dump and supply your forces with more ammunition.

Special Rules: Ordinance, Glorious Ordinance! - The winning player may roll on a chart to see what munitions he discovers while ransacking the supplies. This chart will be kept secret till the day of the battle. If the winner so chooses, he may defend his find from the next challenger, but will have a 50pt reduction in his army size. The longer he holds, the more intresting the weapons he can find.

Please feel free to ask any questions you have about what's going on. I'll be more than happy to answer them. Now then, fuel up, rev the engines, and lock and load. Lets go blow something up.

Sounds like a awesome time. My only suggestion would be to replace the missle load out from the PDF game with a deathstrike load out. Then it would really be worth winning and im sure chaos would insue once its fired.

Ill be sure to bust out the Baneblade and titan for the tank battle. Heck the girlfriend said she might even come down and play, lol.

I dont understand this special rule, who has this 50pt reduction? And what good are the weapons/munitions that are found? can they be fired at one of the other tables, much like some of the other special rules?

Also, will you be closing at all that night? Or will the 40k continue until like 10am the next day?

Like I said, the ordanence will be kept a secret till the day of the megabattle. Sorry, can't give you ANY info as far as that is concerned.

The winner of the previous battle, if they decide to defend, has a 50pt reduction in his forces for the second game he plays, and a 100pt reduction for the third game he plays.

The gaming shall continue till we decide as a whole that enough is enough. In all likely hood, we'll be wrapping up around 2am or so.
