The Tournament has been scheduled! May 8th is the date of the tournament. That's a Saturday for those of you who're too lazy to pull up your calendar on the computer.
Start Time: Noon. Points Value: 1500 points, Late War Rules: Victory Points will be determined in each game via the standard rules on page 195. Each game will also have conditions to allow up to 2 additional bonus points for each player. A total of three points will be awarded to any players who have a fully painted army, leading to a total of 27 possible points.
Mission 1: Encounter Do note that games that have not completed when time is called *will* be using the Fair Fight rules, which means victory points are allotted to both players via the loser's column.
Mission 2: Hold the Line
Mission 3: Fighting Withdrawal For Missions 2 & 3, if time runs out and the attacker has not won, then it is a victory for the defender, so do not tarry! Any defenders seen to be purposely stalling the game (upon confirmation that they were in fact doing so) will be ridiculed, then given 0 points for their game. Then tazered.
Remember people, two of the three games are attack/defend missions! Keep this in mind when preparing your army lists, as even if you're playing a Panzer company, there are armies out there that automatically get to attack, so don't go crying to me that you "auto-lose" because you're the defender!
Easily Forgotten Rules We All Need To Remember: *Defensive Fire can "pin down" (stopping the assault) of open topped vehicles (Top Armor 0). *You MUST rotate to face the target you are shooting. The only exceptions to these are occupying a building's opening or in Gun Pits. Otherwise, if you cannot rotate to face it, you cannot shoot it! Don't place your howitzers base to base with each other! *Destroying a transport team pins down the platoon. *Gone to ground status is on a by Team basis, not by Platoon. *You cannot fire a turret main weapon and an AA MG on the same turn. That's my bad.
Special thanks to the Flames of War forum's "Eureka Moments!" thread.
